The Spiral Square
This can be knitted with separate yarns for each triangle or use the same yarn for the whole square. This method can give an interesting effect when using variated yarn.
(k) Knit ~ working at the back
(p) Purl ~ working at the front
(s) Slip ~ moving a stitch from one needle to the other without working it
(t) Turn ~ Flip your work and go back the way you came in the middle of your row
(ds) Double stitch ~ Slip 1 stitch from the left-hand needle to the right-hand needle purl wise with the yarn at the front of the work. Pull the working yarn up and over the right needle creating a 'double stitch'. You then continue to work the next stitch
